One of the famous actors of Bollywood industry named Aftab Shivdasani was born on June 25th, 1978 at Mumbai in Maharashtra. He was born to the family of Prem Shivdasani and Sherry. His parents comes from different religious backgrounds as his father is a Hindu while his mother was born to a Parsi family. Also Aftab has an older sister named Afsana Shivdasani. He has completed his schooling from St. Xavier’s High School, (Fort) which is located at Lokamanya Tilak Marg, Mumbai. Later he attended H. R.College of Commerce in Mumbai and became a graduate. Looking to his personal life, he has been romantically linked with Esha Deol and Shamita Shetty. Also he dated Yana Gupta till May 2007 and now is dating actress Aamna Sharif who is his co-star in film ‘Aloo Chaat’. He has also starred in many television commercials in his initial career.

Aftab Shivdasani has started his acting career at the age of fourteen months when he was selected as the Farex baby. He was also a fairly well-known child star in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He started her acting career in the Bollywood in the year 1987 when he first appeared in the movie ‘Mr India‘ which was the biggest hit of that year. He starred in the movie as a child artist and later on, he starred in films such as Shahenshah (1988), Chaalbaaz (1989) and Insaniyat (1994). In the movie Chaalbaaz, he played the role of Sridevi’s brother. Later in the year 1999, he got his first break-through in the movie ‘Mast‘ where he played the lead role opposite actress Urmila Matondkar. He was still studying at H.R. College in Mumbai, when he signed up for Mast. Though the movie did not became a hit at the box office and also he was written off by the critics because of his age.

Between all these, he managed to win the Filmfare awards Best Debute for Mast for his acclaimed performance in 2000. Also he won the Best Newcomer Award for his debut performance. Then he took two years break and later came up as matured Aftab and starred in the movie ‘Kasoor‘ in 2001. The movie eraned him Zee Cine Awards Best Villain in 2002.Later in the year 2001, he appeared in the movie ‘Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’. This movie proved to be his turning point of his career which established him as a Bollywood actor. After that he strred in many movies such as Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), Darna Mana Hai (2003), Hungama (2003), Masti (2004), Koi Aap Sa (2005), Shaadi Se Pehle (2006), Red: The Dark Side (2007), Aloo Chaat (2008) etc. His next movie is ‘Acid Factory‘ which is about to release.
