Chhoti Si Baat songs
Basu Chatterjee directed movie ‘Chhoti Si Baat‘ was released under the banner of B.R. Films in 1975. The movie is full of comedy and romance and the lead roles in the movie were played by Amol Palekar, Vidya Sinha and Ashok Kumar whereas the supporting roles in the movie were played by Asrani, Nandita Thakur, Rajan Haksar, Ashim Kumar, Devendra Khandelwal, Baba Majgoakar, Noni Ganguly, C.S. Dubey, Sudarshan Sahni, Amol Sen, R.S. Chopra, Komilla Wirk and many more. The movie was produced by B.R. Chopra whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar, Mukesh and K.J. Yesudas. The evergreen music of the movie was given by famous Salil Choudhury. The movie was proved to be a superhit comedy film at thebox office and did a good business.
The movie is based on urban middle-class comedy including a guy who loves a young woman but afraids of telling her his feelings. In the begining of the movie, a handsome young guy named Arun Pradeep (Amol Palekar) lives a middle-class lifestyle. He is of a marriageable age but is still unmarried and works as an accountant in Bombay. He is of a shy nature who always restricts himself in expressing himself in front of anyone. On the other hand, a beautiful and attractive young woman named Prabha Narayan (Vidya Sinha) also lives in Bombay and works in a private firm for her earnings. Also there is another guy named Nagesh Shastri (Asrani) who is her co-worker and gives her lift occasionally. Though she uses the BEST transit system. Arun once has seen Prabha and falls inlove with her without her knowledge. Later he used to follow her after the office hours.
The main reason behind that is he wants to express his feelings for her but is unable to do so. After sometime, Prabha notices him following her and whenever she turns back, he used to awkwardly looks elsewhere. Later one day she finally meets him and he introduces himself as Arun Pradeep who works as an Accounts Assistant in another firm. Later he tries everything to impress her including buying a dilapidated motor-bike to give her a ride. But to his embarrassment, the bike is not more than a junk. He also tries his luck to various pundits, palm-readers, psychics and counselors but all in vain. At last he decides to take some lessons from Col. Julius Nagendranath Wilfred Singh (Ashok Kumar) who lives at the countyside. He pays his fees and then begins his training in assertiveness.
