Anurag Singh directed movie ‘Dil Bole Hadippa!‘ was released under the banner of Yash Raj Films on September 18th, 2009. The movie is full of comedy and cricket and the lead roles in the movie were played by Shahid Kapur, Rani Mukherjee, Dalip Tahil and Anupam Kher whereas the supproting roles were played by Poonam Dhillon, Sherlyn Chopra, Rakhi Sawant, Shonali Nagrani, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vallabh Vyas etc. The movie was produced by Aditya Chopra, Yash Chopra, Aashish Singh and Padam Bhushan whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Master Saleem, Alisha Chinoy, Sunidhi Chauhan, Hard Kaur, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghosal and Mika Singh. The music of the movie was given by famous Pritam Chakraborty and the lyrics were given by Jaideep Sahni. The story of the movie was written by Jaya and Aparajita. The movie did a good business at the box office.

The movie is based on a the dreams of cricket of a girl who lives in a small village. In the begining of the movie, a young and charming girl named Veera (Rani Mukerji) is very passionate of cricket and also mad about Sachin Tendulkar. Though she has talent and therefore she wants to play in a big league. She works in a drama company and dances with the star performer, Shanno Amritsari (Rakhi Sawant) who is an arrogant female. There is always a cricket match played between India and Pakistan every year and the series is named as Aman Cup. For a long time, Pakistan has dominated this series and similarly this year, won the cup. On the other hand, Rohan (Shahid Kapoor) who is an accomplished cricketer and captain of his county cricket team in England, lives alongwith his mother named Yamini Singh (Poonam Dhillon). His mother has seperated from his father (Anupam Kher) several years ago.

Later his father calls him to India and tells him about the condition of the local cricket team and also about the cup. Therefore he agrees to coach the team for his father and determined to win the cup. An audition is placed to select the players and there Veera also goes. But to her shock, she is restricted to enter by the gurad. Then Veera decides to become Veer and play for the league. Soon she changes her get up and goes for the audition where she is selected. Later one day during the practice, Soniya (Sherlyn Chopra) throws juice on her face and Veer quickly runs away to the men changing room where Rohan also comes. When they both meet, Veera tells him that she is the sister of Veer. Also Rohan’s father asks Veera to change his son so that he never wants to go to England. Later again the match is played for Aman Cup where Rohan and Veer chases the target and win. Between the match Rohan comes to know the truth of Veer which shocks him.
