Hit songs of Anu Malik


 

Bollywood’s well known Music Director, singer and composer, Anu Malik was born on 2nd November 1960. Pandit Ram Parsan was his Guru who taught him singing. In his lifetime achievement, he has won National Award for the movie Refugee. His two of the songs were used in english movies including Chunari Chunari from Biwi No. 1 was used in Monsoon Wedding and Chamma Chamma from China Gate was used in Moulin Rouge. He is one of the bollywood singer who is popular for his international projects. Sometimes he used to sing for his composition. But he is not a lead singer because he has different style of singing. In some of his songs he inserted rap as he has added in Ye Kali Kali Aankhein from Baazigar.

His career started in 1981 when he composed the song for the movie Poonam. He also composed for various hit movies like Ganga Jamuna Saraswati and Soni Mahiwal but he was not able to got popularity for these films. In the year 1993, he composed songs for the films Baazigar, Jaanam, Sir, Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Ayee etc. Most of these songs were became much superhits and he gain his popularity. In 1994 Filmfare Awards he was honured for his work in Baazigar. He has also composed the songs for the movie Aks, Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, Fiza etc. He is among the most succesful singers in bollywood just because he can sing and compose all type of songs without any repeatation. One of the best example of his different style of singing is Ek Garam Chai Ki Pyaali Ho from Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega. He always tries to select different singers and lyricists like Kay Kay, Kunal Ganjawala, Sonu Nigam to provide variety in his movies.

Some of his compositions always remain in controversy. Many people says that he steal his songs from english hit songs. In the serial Carry On Shekhar he was also honured by the name Kleptomania which means  a person who has the habbit of stealing things. He composed two songs in 1997 from the movie Dhaal and Auzaar based on famous hit song Macarena.  He also composed the song Akele Hum Akele Tum for the movie Raja Ko Rani Se Pyaar Ho Gya also based on a english song The Godfather. Sometimes he also copied the songs from south indian industry. He has also worked on small screen. Anu is among the judge pannel of famous singing competetion Indian Idol which was aired on Sony Entertainment Television. Now also in Indian Idol 4 he is amongst the judge pannel with Kailash Kher, Javed Akhtar. He also won various awards in his career. He had won the Fimfare Best Music Director Award for Baazigar and Main Hoon Na. Baazigar was released in 1993 and Main Hoon Na was in 2004.
