Bollywwod’s prominent singer K.K was born in Thrissur, Kerla on 23 August 1970. His full name is Krishna Kumar Kunnath but he is mostly known as K.K. He is very popular in Bollywood, Telugu and Tamil films industry. He finished his schooling from St. Mary School, Delhi. He has completed his graduation from Delhi University. He was also appeared in the song Josh Of India for supporting Indian cricket team in 1999 Cricket world cup.  His first album was ‘Pal’ which became a popular album of the year. The songs ‘Yaaron’ and ‘Aap Ki Dua’ from the album were big hit and proved him a good singer. His career started when he got his first break to rendered his voice for one minute Jingle Leslie Lewis. The song ‘Chhod aaye hum’ from the movie Machis was his first song in the bollywood industry. But he didn’t get much popularity from the song. Then he rendered his voice for the song Tadap Tadap from the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The song was a big hit and make him popular overight. From then he has earned much fame in bollywood industry.

After then he rendered his voice for the song Tu Aashiqui from the movie Jhankar Beats. Though the movie was not a big hit but the song was liked a lot and he won his first National Award for this song. After then he had sung various songs in many movies including Dus Bahaane from the movie Dus, Awarapan Banjarapan from the movie Jism. Its The Time To Disco from a superhit romantic drama Kal Ho Na Ho. His way of singing was much liked by the Audience. He has also worked with various hit composers and music directors like Vishal-Shekar, Pritam and many more. He released his second album on January 2008 named Humsafar. Though the album was not a big hit but the songs from the album was liked a lot by the youngsters.

He has also worked in some Telugu and Tamil Industry. He has rendered his voice for the song My Name is Billa from the movie Billa. This movie was recently released in Delhi. He has also sung the song Appadi Podu from the movie Ghilli, Kadalikkum Asai Undu from the movie Chellarne and many more for Tamil industry. His few of hits and most liked songs are Soniyo Soniyo from the movie Aksar, Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai from the movie Wo Lamhe, Khuda Jaane from the movie Bachna Ae Haseeno, Aankho Mein Teri from the movie Om Shanti Om and many more. He also won the Star Screen Award for the Best Male Playback Singer for the song Khuda Jaane from the movie Bachna Ae Haseeno. In 2009 he rendered his voice for the movies 99, Raaz- The Mystery Continues, Billu and many more. His few of upcoming movies in which he is a playback singer are Kambakht Ishq, Sikandar and Love Aaj Kal.
