Hit songs of Mast
Ram Gopal Varma directed movie ‘Mast‘ was released under the banner of Varma Corporation on October 15th, 1999. The movie is full of fantasy and romance and the lead roles in the movie were played by Aftab Shivdasani and Urmila Matondkar whereas the supporting roles were played by Dalip Tahil, Smita Jaykar, Govind Namdeo, Antara Mali, Sheetal Suvarna, Raju Mavani, Neeraj Vora, Snehal Dabi, Nitin Raikwar, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Maurya, Kuldeep Kaur, Suhas Bhalekar, Jatinjeet Kaur etc. The movie was produced by Ram Gopal Varma and P. Som Shekar whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Asha Bhosle, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Nitin Raikwar and Sadhana Sargam. The music of the movie was given by famous Sandeep Chowta and the staory was written by Vinod Ranganathan and Ramesh Khatkar. Also the screenplay and dialogues were given by Ramesh Khatkar.
The movie is based on the fantasy of a guy who has fallen in love with an actress and wants her to marry anyhow. The movie is about in what way, his dreams come true. In the begining of the movie, Krishnakant Mathur (Aftab Shivdasani) aka Kittu, who is a smart and hansome guy and works in a restaurant which is located right opposite the bunglow of famous movie actress named Mallika (Urmilla Matondkar). He is a great admirer of her and also number one fan. He loves her almost to the point of obsession. He always wants to meet her and tells his feelings to her but he never gets a chance for this. Later one day he gets a chance to meet her at Mehboob Studios where he speaks with Mallika herself. But unfortunately, he comes across a guy named Tolluram (Govind Namdeo) who is Mallika’s maternal uncle. He interrupts both of them and also insults and humiliates him.
Later he orders him to leave which he has to do. Kittu gets confused about this behaviour and also gets more concern with Mallika. Later he comes to know that Mallika’s life is controlled by her uncle, aunt (Kuldeep Kaur) and cousin sister (Jatinjeet Kaur). One day he witnesses her uncle beating her up severely. Thus he cannot stop himself and breaks into their house and assaults the uncle. Then he abducts Mallika and on the next day, this news spreads in media that Mallika is kidnapped. Later Police also involved in this case and then Kittu decides to bring her to his house. He also hides her in his house and does not tell his parents about this. At the end of the story, Mallika also agrees to marry Kittu.
