Famous comedy film director, Priyadarshan directed movie ‘Mere Baap Pehle Aap‘ was released under the banner of Shemaroo Entertainment on June 13th, 2008. The movie is full of comedy and the lead roles in the movie were played by Akshaye Khanna, Genelia D’Souza and Paresh Rawal whereas the supporting roles in the movie were played by Shobhana, Archana Puran Singh, Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav, Naseeruddin Shah, Manoj Joshi, Arzoo Govitrikar and many more. The movie was produced by Mansi Maroo, Raman Maroo and Ketan Maru whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Sangeet Haldipur, Neeraj Shridhar, Alisha Chinoi, Udit Narayan , Shreya Ghoshal, Alka Yagnik and Shaan. The music of the movie was given by Vidyasagar and Tauseef Akhtar and the story was given by Kalavur Ravikumar and Priyadarshan. Dialogues of the movie were given by Manisha Korde. The movie did an avereage business at the box office.

The movie is based on old age love. In the begining of the movie, an old guy named Janaradhan Wishvanbhar Rane (Paresh Rawal) lives with his two sons, Chirag (Manoj Joshi) and Gaurav (Akshaye Khanna). Janardhan has lost his wife very early when his both sons were just kids. Later he has spent his life bringing up his both the kids and provided everything which they needed at that time. Now Gaurav and Chirag has grown up and are well able to take the responsibility of their father and the house. Chirag gets married and lives apart from them whereas Gaurav, who is younger than him, lives alongwith his father. Though Gaurav is Janardhan’s son but he treats his father like his own son. Janardhan has a prankster best friend named Madhav Mathur (Om Puri) who is a divorcee and wants to get settled again as soon as possible. Therefore Gaurav is on gaurd to save his father from Madhav so that he cannot spoils Janardhan.

Madhav and Janaradhan who are always in search of a bride for Madhav forever land up in trouble with Inspector Bhawani (Archana Puran Singh). Then Gaurav has to come for bail them out and alsofaces the embarrassment. On the other hand, he starts recieving prank calls from a girl. He gets upset and frustrated from her and at last writes an abusive letter to the address given by her and sends the letter with his employee (Rajpal Yadav). Soon he is once again called by Bhawani in the police station and he has to bail out him. Later he comes to know that the girl is none other than his junior collegian named Sheekha Kapoor (Genelia D’Souza). She lives with her aunt named Anuradha (Shobhana) who is a music teacher. Both Gaurav and Sheekha notices a change in their respective guardian’s behaviour when they come face to face. Later they come to know that Anuradha is Janardhan’s first love. Therefore Gaurav and Sheekha decides to meet both the lovers once again.
