Bollywood most successful actor, Aamir Khan was born in Bandra, Mumbai, India on 14th March 1965. He was born in a Muslim Family. His father Tahir Hussain and his uncle Nasir Hussain were film producers by profession. He began his acting career in bollywood with his uncle’s movie Yaadon Ki Baraat. It was released in 1973 and Aamir worked as a child artist in the film. Then he worked in his uncle’s next movie Madhosh in year 1974. After ten years in the year 1984 he once again acted in a film titled Holi. It was directed by Ketan Mehta and this was his first movie as a debut actor. Aamir Khan then worked in romantic saga Qaymat Se Qaymat Tak. It was released in 1988 and directed by Aamir’s cousin Mansoor Khan. The movie performed well at the box office and he was appreciated for his acting in the movie.

In 90s he worked in various successful movies including Dil opposite Madhuri Dixit, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Rangeela. Most of these movies were hit at the box office. Hse then team up with actor Salman Khan for the movie named Andaz Apna Apna. It was a comedy flick and did very well at the box office window. Then he started acting in one or two movie in a year. In 1996 he worked in a single movie titled Raja Hindustani opposite Karishma Kapoor. It was directed by Dharmesh Darshan and was the blockbuster hit of the year. He won the Filmfare award for the Best Actor for her performance in the movie. After then he worked in many films like Ishq opposite Ajay Devgan, Kajol and Juhi Chawla, Gulaam opposite Rani Mukhrejee, Sarfarosh and many more. His first movie with his brother Faisal Khan was Mela. It was released in the year 2000. In 2001 he worked in Lagaan which was the major hit of the year. His another hit was Dil Chahta Hai, directed by Farhan Akhatar opposite Akshaye Khanna, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta.

Then after few years of gap he came up with Mangal Pandey: The Rising. The movie did not perform well at box office. In 2006 he played a role in Rakesysh Omprakash Mehra’s Rang De Basanti. It was the superhit movie of the year. The movie won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance. He then produced Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na for his nephew Imran Khan. In 2007 he directed and acted in Taare Zameen Par which was also a superhit and performed very well at box office. In the end of 2008 he appeared in Ghajini with Tamil actress Asin. Movie broke all records of previous year and it was the highest grossing film of the year. He also won the best actor nominees in Filmfare award and in other Award ceremonies too.
