Vipul Amrutlal Shah directed movie titled ‘Aankhen‘ was released under the banner of Gaurang Doshi Productions on March 27th, 2002. The movie is full of thriller and crime drama and also it has a bit of comedy as well. The leading starcast included Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, Amitabh Bachchan and Sushmita Sen whereas the supporting cast included Aditya Pancholi, Kashmira Shah, Ajit Vachani, Daya Shankar Pandey, Malvika Singh, Ashok Banthia, Arun Bali, Bipasha Basu, Master Fardeen etc. The movie was produced by Gaurang Doshi whereas the superhit songs of the movie were rendered by Arun Bakshi, Vasundhara Das, Remo Fernandes, Sonu Nigam, Adesh Shrivastava, Nitin Raikwar and Alka Yagnik. The music of the movie was given by Aadesh Shrivastav and Jatin-Lalit and the story was written by Aatish Kapadia and Vipul Amrutlal Shah. This movie is based on a play called Andhalo pato.

The movie revolves around three persons who are chosen to commit a crime. In the movie Vijay Singh Rajput (Amitabh Bachchan) lives a wealthy lifestyle. He is working with Vilasrao Jefferson Bank on the post of the manager. He is a quirky manager and is extremely strict. He believes in pushing his workers to the limit so that he can obtain maximum output. His this quality makes him most reliable employee in the eyes of the bank’s management. But all is not going well as one day he assaults an employee when he comes to know that one of his own employees trying to con the customers. Later Vijay Singh is sacked as his higher aurothirities thinks that he is now a liability on them. When he gets the orders of his termination, he cannot believe the Board of Directors. Although he is an honest person but now is filled with anger and revenge. He decides to teach a lesson to the bank and its employees.

So he decides to rob the bank himself. He decides that he must think of a plan that will hit the bank where it hurts the most. He also knows the security system of the bank very well than anyone else, therefore there is no problem to break the security system. But there is a problem, if he goes to break out the bank and robs it then everyone gets to know about him therefore he sets off by abducting a child of an Instructress named Neha Srivastav (Sushmita Sen). She is an instructress in the school of blinds. Later Vijay blackmails her to use her professional skills to help his plan. Soon three men named Vishwas Prajapati (Akshay Kumar), Arjun Verma (Arjun Rampal) and Ilias (Paresh Rawal) are arranged to rob the bank. The main thing is that all of them are blind and nobody suspects them. Neha is forced to give the training and they successfully rob the bank.
