One of the famous bollywood superstar Ajay Devgan is a National Film Award-winning actor. He was born on April 2nd, 1969 at New delhi to a Punjabi family. His real name is Vishal Veeru Devgan and born to the family of Veeru Devgan and Veena Devgan. His father is a stunt choreographer whereas his mother has produced one film. He also has a brother named Anil Devgan who is a Bollywood film director. He completed his earlier studies from Bapu School in Juhu and later became a graduate from Mithibai College. He has married with Kajol who is also a successful Bollywood actress and has a daughter named Nysa Devgan who was born on April 20th, 2003. First of all when he entered in the film industry, he began with the image of an action hero and later turned to actor open to serious roles in Bollywood. He has also entered in the field of direction in 2008 with the movie ‘U Me Aur Hum‘.

It was the year 1991, when Ajay Devgan first entered in this industry with his first film titled ‘Phool Aur Kaante‘. He played the role of the son of Amrish Puri. He was shot to fame with his first movie as the movie did an excellent business at the box office. Also his that performance won him a Filmfare Best Debut Award. As it is said earlier, he was an action hero in beginning of his career, therefore many of his early movies were of the action genre. One of his superhit action movie is ‘Ek Hi Raasta’ which was made in 1993. Later he switched to star in comedy films such as ‘Ishq‘ in 1997 in which he played as son of multi-millionaire who befriends with a poor man (Aamir Khan). The movie was a superhit which established him as a comedian actor. Later in next year, 1998 he once again appeared in ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha‘ which was the biggest hit of that year.

He next starred in Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Zakhm‘ in the same year. The movie and his performance wer highly acclaimed. His performance earned him several awards including the coveted National Film Award for Best Actor and Star Screen Award Best Actor. In 1999, he again starred in blockbuster movie ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam‘ alongwith Salman Khan and Aishwariya Rai. He was also nominated for Best Actor at the Filmfare. the decade 1990s showed him every point of success in his career and he continued this with the movie ‘Company’ in 2002 for which he earned second Star Screen Award Best Actor. Also he won his second National Film Award for Best Actor for ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh‘. Later he starred in many superhit movies such as ‘Omkara’ (2006), ‘Golmaal‘ (2006) and ‘Golmaal Returns’ (2008). His directed movie ‘U Me Aur Hum’ performed well at the box office in which he starred opposite his wife.
