A very famous playback singer in the Bollywood industry, Anand Raj Anand has given his voice to many superstars. He was born in Delhi in the family of jewellers. He opted for his family business but in 1992, he left his family business and came to Mumbai to pursue musical career. Apart from a playback singer, he is also a famous music director, composer and lyricist and has directed music in several movies. His voice has the uniqueness which stands him seperate from other singers. He started his career in 1995 with his first private album ‘Babu Tiptop’ in Time music. The song “Jhanjharia Aise Chhanak Gayi” from the album was a rage which was later used in the movie ‘Krishna‘. He is appreciated for his album and made his own place in the industry. From next year, in 1996 he started her work in the movies. His first movie was ‘Masoom‘ in which he wrote the lyrics of the songs of the movie, composed and also sang the songs of the movie.

In the movie, he sang the songs “Kale Libaas Mein”, “Yeh Jo Teri Paaylon Ki” and “Tukur Tukur Dekhte Ho Kya” which became successful and he was appreciated. After that he gave many hits in his career. In 1997, he composed the songs “Gore Gore Paon” and “Ghoonghat Mein Chehra Aapka” in the movie ‘Ghoonghat‘ which were successfully accepted bu audiance. Also his song “Daddy Mere Bada Pareshaan” from ‘Tirchi Topi Wale’ in 1998, was a hit. But his blockbuster was yet to come which he gave in the movie ‘Major Saab‘, directed by Tinnu Anand. He wrote the lyrics, composed the music and also sang the song “Pyar Karna Hai” in the movie. Most of the songs he composed alongwith Adesh Shrivastava. Later he gave many successful songs in various movies such as Pardesi Babu, Hadh Kar Di Aapne, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rahta Hai, Kyonki Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta, Kaante, Gunaah, Masti, Welcome and Shootout at Lokhandwala.

In the year 2000, he came again with a superhit song “Dil Tote Tote Ho Gaya” from the movie ‘Bichhoo‘ which was a superhit. The song “It Happens Only In India” which he sang in the movie ‘Pardesi Babu’ (1998) was a huge hit. After that he gained popularity and became the first choice in music direction as well as playback singing. Not only this, he has also sang some of the emotional songs such as “Oye Raju” and “Phir Tote Se Boli Maina Kya Kehna” in the movie Hadh Kar Di Aapne in 2000. He has sung with many famous playback singers like Vinod Rathod, Anuradha Paudwal, Udit Narayan, Kavitha Krishnamurthy etc. Recently he became successful with the song “Ek Uncha Lamba Kad” from the movie ‘Welcome’ (2007) and the song “Speaker Baje Speaker” from the movie ‘C Kkompany‘ (2008).
