Songs of Anari No.1


Sandesh Kohli directed movie ‘Anari No.1‘ was released under the banner of A.K. International on April 9th, 1999. The movie is full of action, comedy and romance and the lead roles in the movie were played by Govinda, Raveena Tandon, Kader Khan and Simran whereas the supporting roles in he movie were played by Aruna Irani, Satish Shah, Satyendra Kapoor, Himani Shivpuri, Prem Chopra, Master Frank Anthony, Ghanshyam Rohera, Shaukat Hussain, Dinesh Hingoo, Johnny Lever etc. The movie was produced by Aruna Irani and the songs of the movie were rendered by Abhijeet, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Amit Kumar, Udit Narayan, Jaspinder Narula, Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik. The music of the movie was given by Babloo Chakravorty, Sameer Sen and Dilip Sen whereas the movie and dialogues of the movie were written by Sandesh Kohli and Kader Khan respectively.

The movie revolves around a guy named Raja (Govinda) who has a look-like by the name of Rahul Saxena (also Govinda) and later what tough situations he faces. Raja is a poor chap who always dreams of a rich lifestyle but in reality, he is employed as a lowly waiter in a hotel. A very wealthy businessman named K.K. (Kader Khan) comes to his hotel for a stay. Soon he comes to his service and makes him impress with his comedy conversation between them. Then K.K. lends him a suit, and gives him some money so that he can fulfil his dreams which he has talked about ijn front of him. One day Raja is out in the town and there he sees a gorgeous girl named Sapna (Raveena Tandon) whome he thinks is wealthy. He woos her and tries to wins her heart. Soon he comes to know that she also is in search of her prince charming. But one thing what he does not knows about her is that she is also poor and works at a house as a maid.

She thinks that Raja is rich who wants to marry her. Later both come to know about each other and then Raja sees his look like named Rahul Saxena. With the help of a garage owner named Sattarbhai (Satish Shah), Raja and Sapna concocts a plan to kidnap Rahul for ransom, while Raja will take his place in his house. Here K.K. has a daughter named Sona (Simran) who is an airhostess and has fallen in love with Rahul Saxena. She meets Rahul with her father who misunderstands him as Raja. Rahul has been kidnapped and Raja takes his place. There he meets with Rahul’s step mother, Mrs. Sharda Saxena (Aruna Irani) and his uncle (Prem Chopra). Problem creates when Raja is also kidnapped as he is mistaken for Rahul.Here Rahul somehow manages to escape from his kidnappers and meets Raja where he has been kept by the kidnappers and releases him. Now Raja takes the charge and fights with the goons.
