Ayesha Takia is a famous bollywood actress who has won many awards for her performances in various bollywood films. She was born on April 10, 1986. She has acted in many bollywood films playing some very interesting characters. Her father belongs to a Gujrati family while her mother is an Anglo Indian. She has a younger sister whose name is Natasha. Ayesha did her schooling from St. Anthony’s High School. In her childhood days, she appeared in a Complan commercial alongwith Shahid Kapoor, who is also a successful actor now. Before entering in the bollywood movies, she appeared in several music albums.

At the age of fifteen, she did a music album with famous singer Falguni Pathak for the song, ‘Meri Chunar Ud Ud Jaaye’. At the age of sixteen, she appeared in the music video Shake it Daddy. She made her debut as the leading actress with the film titled Tarzan - The Wondar Car. She eventually won the filmfare award of the best debutant actress of the year 2004 for her performance in the film. Her performance in the film was much acclaimed by the critics as well. In the film, Vatsal Seth played the role of a lead actor opposite her. The movie did good business at the box office and ayesha becomes a famous personality after the release of the movie. Her next film ‘Socha Na Tha‘ starred her opposite debutant actor Abhay Deol, who belongs to thje reputed Deol Family. Socha Na Tha was in production before the release of Tarzan, but due to some delay in production of Socha Na Tha, Tarzan was released before it.

Ayesha won many awards for her nice performance in the film. She got the award of debut actress from Filmfare and IIFA in the year 2004. Then in 2005, she got Sabse Favourite Kaun Nayi Heroine award. In the year 2007, she got Stardust Award for best supporting actress in the film Dor. For the same film, she got Stardust best actress award by the critics too. Recently, she got married with Farhan Azmi, who is a restaurateur and the son of a Samajwadi Party leader, Abu Azmi. They had decided to marry in December 2008, but due the terrorists’ attacks in Mumbai, they got married on 1st March, 2009.
