A very famous comedy film director named David Dhawavn directed film ‘Biwi No.1‘ was released on May 28th, 1999. The movie is full of comedy, drama and romance whereas the lead roles in the movie were played by Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sushmita Sen and Tabu whereas the supporting starcasts included Amitabh Bachchan, Kanu Gil, Baby Karishma, Saif Ali Khan, Shashi Kiran, Guddi Maruti, Master Shahrukh, Himani Shivpuri, Ajit Vachani, Rajeev Verma etc. The movie was produced by Vashu Bhagnani whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Abhijeet, Kavita Krishnamurti, Shankar Mahadevan, Anmol Malik, Aditya Narayan, Udit Narayan, Jaspinder Narula, Poornima, Kumar Sanu, Hema Sardesai, Sukhwinder Singh, Anuradha Sriram, Alka Yagnik etc. The music was given by famous Anu Malik and Sukhwinder Singh. The story of the movie was written by Kamal Hassan and the movie did good work on the screen.

The movie is based on a person who has a wife as well as a girlfriend. Prem Mehra (Salman Khan) a rich businessman who lives a wealthy lifestyle with his wife Pooja Mehra (Karisma Kapoor), two kids and his mother. His wife Pooja Mehra was totally busy with her two kids and her mother-in-law and neglected her husband. Prem Mehra was so abset with his wife and his married life. Then one day suddenly a beautiful, tall and sexy lady enters into his life named Roopali (Sushmita Sen) and both were attaracted with each other and engaged in love with each other. Now, Prem Mehra plays a double life in the movie. He lives with his mother as a good son, as a good husband with his wife and as a lovable father with his kids and he lives with Roopali as a good and caring boyfriend. He gifted her a beautiful house with luxurious facilities. Suddenly movie becomes more interesting when his wife Pooja Mehra knows everything about her husband’s affair.

Later in the movie, Lakhan (Anil Kapoor) and his wife Lovely (Tabu) enters into their life who is a good friend of Prem and his wife. Pooja tells everything about her husband affair to Lakhan who knows everything about his friend and decided to help her. By the suggestion of Lakhan she started to work again as he worked before her marriage by which her husband Prem Mehra was able to understand the difference between a girlfriend and a wife. Now, plan works accordingly and her husband started to react as they want and in the middle of these times Lakhan meets with Deepak (Saif Ali Khan) Roopali’s boyfriend who wanted to marry her even Roopali neglected him for the marriage. Lakhan and Pooja started to play a game with her husband and Roopali and Roopali’s image getting down day by day and they wanted to leave each other. Now, in a school function Prem and Pooja met with each other and Prem was understand the value of wife. Pooja thanks to Lakhan Because everything was possible because of him and started to live happily with her husband and her family.
