A very popular actress in Bollywood industry, named Celina Jaitley was born on November 24th, 1981 at Kabul in Afghanistan. She was born to a Punjabi family of V.K. Jaitley and Meeta. Her father is a retired Indian Army colonel whereas her mother is an Afghan Hindu and was a nurse in the Indian army. She was also an Afghan beauty queen. Celina has a brother who is now serving the Indian army. Celina has travelled a lot in her childhood due to her father’s transeferrable job. She grew up in several cities, including Lucknow where she attended City Monetessori school. Also she studied in Berhampur, Orissa when her father was posted there. She has spent most of her time in Kolkata. Later she has completed her graduation with a degree in commerce from Indira Gandhi National Open University. She was also a former beauty queen and was crowned Femina Miss India in 2001.

Celina Jaitley was a finalist in the Miss Universe 2001 contest. Also she has won Miss Margo Beautiful Skin, Indiatimes Surfer’s Choice, and MTV’s Most Wanted awards. Later she made her bollywood debut in the year 2003 with the movie ‘Janasheen‘ which was directed by late actor and director, Feroz Khan. In the movie, she starred opposite another new actor named Fardeen Khan and played as Jessica Pereira. The movie was a box office flop but she attracted everyone with her bold scenes. Her next movie was ‘Khel’ which was also released in the same year. But again the movie was unable to do well at the box office. In the year 2005, she was shot to fame with the superhit movie ‘No Entry‘ in which she played the role of Sanjana Saxena. After that she started to get several offers from various producers.

Also she has performed in a Telugu-language film titled as ‘Suryam’ in 2005. Her movie ‘Jawani Diwani: A Youthful Joyride’ in 2006 was a comedy movie in which she was once again able to win everyone’s heart with her performance. She has starred in several comedy and good movies such as Tom Dick and Harry (2006), Apna Sapna Money Money (2006), Red: The Dark Side (2007), Heyy Babyy (2007), C Kkompany (2008), Money Hai Toh Honey Hai (2008), Golmaal Returns (2008), Paying Guest (2009) etc. Among these movies, the movie ‘Golmaal Returns’ was her superhit film for which she was also critically accepted. Celina also has starred in an international movie ‘Love Has No Language’ which is a romantic comedy film. Also she is the brand ambassador of Egyptian tourism and D’damas.
