Songs of Chupke Chupke
Chupke Chupke is an Indian comedy film which was released in 1975. The movie is a remake of Bengali hit film Chhadmabeshi. The movie was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The movie was produced by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and N.C. Sippy. The music for the film was given by S.D. Burman and lyrics were written by Anand Bakshi. The story of the film was written by Upendranath Ganguly. In movie the lead role was played by Dharmendra who played the character of botany professor ( Parimal Tripathi ) and other supporting actors were Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, Jaya Bachchan, Om Prakash, David, Asrani and Keshto Mukherjee.
Professor Parimal Tripathi ( Dharmendra ) is a young, handsome and kind hearted botany professor, who helps the bungalow’s watchman to get to his village as his grandson is ill. He disguises
himself as the watchman to save the watchman’s job. On the same day, Sulekha Chaturvedi ( Sharmila Tagore ), a botony student , alongwith with her college friends arrive at the bungalow for a trip. Sulekha is a big fan of Professor Parimal Tripathi but she had never seem him. However after few days, she discover the truth about Parimal Tripathi. She get impressed by his kind hearted nature. She falls in love with Parimal. Soon they both get married. Primal loves and also have a habit of playing pranks. Sulekha continues praise of her Jijaji (brother-in-law), Raghavendra ( Om Prakash ), make Parimal feel jealous about him. Sulekha consider her Jijaji to be highly intellectual person and look upon him as her idol. Sulekha’s excessive praise of her Jiju made Parimal feels inferiority complex and he decids to prove his wife Sulekha that he is not less then her Jiju Raghavendra in any respect. One day Raghavendra writes a letter to Haripat Bhaiya ( David Abraham ), requesting him to send a driver who can speak sudh ( Quality ) Hindi because his present driver James D’costa ( Keshto Mukherjee ) is not good in correct usage of Hindi and this can have bad impact on his children. Parimal get the chance to get to see and interact with Jijaji. He arrived Raghavendra’s house with Sulekha. Parimal disguise himself as Pyaremohan IIahabadi, a moter driver who hate to speak in English and only speaks sudh hindi.
First they pretend that Sulekha is not happy with her new marriage and she had a affair with
Pyaremohan IIahabadi. To take next step in Drama, Parimal convince his friend Sukumar
Sinha ( Amitabh Bachchan ),who is also a professor, but of English litrature, to temporarily play
character of Parimal. Pyaremohan’s habit of excessively using correct Hindi and correcting his
Jijaji ( Raghavendra ) usage of language makes Raghavendra feels tortured. Pranks played by Paremohan provide many laughs. Parimal’s long-time friend P K Srivastava ( Asrani ) also joins the party. His sister-in-law Vasudha ( Jaya Bachchan ) thinks that Sukumar is Parimal. Sukumar falls in love with Vasudha but as Vasudha consider him Parimal, she refuse to accpet his love proposal. One day Sukumar reveals the truth to Vasudha and she also joins them in the prank. Drama comes to an end when Raghavendra admits that he was totally fooled. The film revolves around the resolution of these funny mishaps.
