E. Nivas directed movie ‘De Taali‘ was released under the banner of Rising Star Entertainment on June 20th, 2008. The movie is full of comedy, romance and some action and the lead roles in the movie were played by Aftab Shivdasani, Ayesha Takia, Ritesh Deshmukh and Rimi Sen whereas the supporting roles were played by Mukul Dev, Neha Dhupia, Anupam Kher, Satish Shah, Saurabh Shukla and many more. The movie was produced by Sameer Siddiqui and Ravi Walia whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Shreya Ghoshal, Shekhar Ravjiani, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Anushka Manchanda, Raja Hasan and Kay Kay. The music of the movie was given by famous Vishal Dadlani-Shekhar Ravjiani. The story of the movie was written by Abbas Tyrewala. The film did not really take off at the box office.

The movie is based on three best friends and their friendship. In the begining of the movie, Paresh Gurudev (Ritesh Deshmukh) aka Pagloo, Abhishek (Aftab Shivdasani) aka Abhi and Amrita (Ayesha Takia) aka Ammo are three best friends since childhood. Abhi is very rich among his friends and lives a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his father (Anupam Kher) who is a wealthy businessman. The main problem is that Abhi is not interested in his father’s business. Also Abhi has several girlfriends in past but unfortunately none of them really love him. Seeinh this, his father and Pagloo ask Ammo to marry Abhi as she knows Abhi from a long time and only she can understand him. One day Abhi comes to her and tells her that he has fallen in love with a girl whome he knows for a long time. Ammo becomes pleased to listen this and mistakes that Abhi also loves her.

Abhi later reveals that a girl named Karthika (Rimi Sen) is whom he loves. What he does not knows that Karthika is only after his money. Ammo gets a heartbreak and then Pagloo and she decide to seperate Abhi and Karthika. When Abhi comes to know that both of his friends are involved in this plan, he hates them and decides to marry Karthika in some other country. At the airport Amu and Paglu kidnap Kartika and force her to write a letter to Abhi saying that she does not love him. Then Pagloo tells Abhi that Ammo is his soulmate and he starts loving her. Later Pagloo finds out that Karthika’s real name is Anjali and she has a history of cheating people. Later she gets free and goes to Abhi and tells him everything. He again becomes angry with Pagloo and Ammo and tells them to get out on the day of marriage with Karthika. Next day he comes and apologizes them and also tells them that Karthika has told him the reality. Later Karthika falls in love with Pagloo.
