Songs of Devdas
A very famous film director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed superhit movie ‘Devdas‘ was released under the banner of Mega Bollywood on July 12th, 2002. The movie is full of romance and tragedy and the lead roles in the movie were played by Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai and Jackie Shroff whereas the supporting roles were played by Kiron Kher, Smita Jaykar, Tiku Talsania, Vijayendra Ghatge, Milind Gunaji, Ananya Khare, Manoj Joshi, Ava Mukherjee, Dina Pathak, Vijay Crishna and many more. The movie was produced by Gajendra Mishra and Bharat S. Shah whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Shreya Ghoshal, Kay Kay, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Birju Maharaj, Udit Narayan, Jaspinder Narula, Vinod Rathod etc. The music was given by famous Ismail Darbar and Monty Sharma whereas the screenplay and dialogues were written by Prakash Kapadia.
The movie is a romantic movie, based on timeless love relationship between Paro and Devdas. In the begining of the movie, there is a large Bengali family where a guy named Zamindar Narayan Mukherjee (Vijay Crishna) lives alongwith his family. Soon his son borns there and he named him Devdas. The family is son rich in wealth. Devdas used to play with his lovely playmate Paro who is the daughter of Sumitra (Kiron Kher).Her family comes from a poor background. Soon Devdas leaves for London for higher studies leaving behind Paro. After several years, Devdas (Shahrukh Khan) comes back to the house and meets Paro (Aishwarya Rai). He gets stunned by seeing her charming beauty and both of them fall in love with each other. Later Sumitra comes to know about their love and she gets in worry as she knows very well the difference between herself and themselves. But Paro does not agree and therefore she agrees.
Later Sumitra goes to Narayan Mukherjee with a marriage proposal of her daughter and his son. But there she is humiliated and thrown out of the house. After that she decides to marry her daughter with another person but not to Devdas in anyway. Here Devdas tries to convince his father but in vain and therefore he leaves the house. He also writes a letter to Paro asking her to forget him. Later Paro gets married with Bhuvan Choudhry (Vijayendra Ghatge) who is much elder from her in age and also has two children. Devdas gets devastated and later meets Chunnilal (Jackie Shroff) who takes him to alcoholism & Chandramukhi (Madhuri Dixit) who is a courtesan. She also falls in love with him but Devdas is not interested as he still loves Paro. While Paro starts performing her duties towards her husband, but she still loves Devdas from her heart.
