Sanjay Gadhvi directed superhit movie ‘Dhoom:2‘ was released under the banner of Yash Raj Films on November 24th, 2006. The movie is full of action and thriller and the lead roles in the movie were played by Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu whereas the supporting roles were played by Uday Chopra, Rimi Sen and many more. The movie was produced by Aditya Chopra, Aashish Singh and Yash Chopra whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Sunidhi Chauhan, Kay Kay, Alisha Chinoy, Sonu Nigam, Bipasha Basu, Sukhbir, Soham Chakraborty, Jolly Mukherjee, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Suzanne D’Mello, Vishal Dadlani and Dominique Cerejo. The superhit music of the movie was given by Pritam Chakraborty and Salim Merchant whereas the story of the movie was written by Aditya Chopra. The movie did an excellent business at the box office.

The movie is based on theft, crime and romance. In the begining of the movie, a wicked theif who is popular by the name of Mr A. (Hrithik Roshan) has spread his name throughout the world through his techniques of stealing. He has made his mark from Argentina to Japan and is virtually unstoppable. No policeman in any country knows when and where he is going to strike next and also nobody has seen him. Now he has next targeted Mumbai for priceless artifact. The Assistant Commissioner of Police named Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) is assigned this case of Mr. A. He is also given fellow A.C.P. and former collegian named Sonali Bos (Bipasha Basu). In the meeting, Jai comes up with some new and exciting facts about Mr. A that he wants to mark the alphabet letter ‘A’ on earth and also likes to strike on a date having total of eight. His next target is Mumbai according to the letter ‘A’ on world map.

Now all the security forces are put to their best. Also assisting them is former jailbird-turned-police-informer named Ali Akbar Fateh Khan (Uday Chopra). Having all the precautions still Mr. A is able to steal a priceless diamond and escapes. There he meets another burglar named Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). Actually she is hired by Jai to help him so that he can catch the theif. She is asked to steal a valuable on the same day and time as ‘A’ which she does and later comes to know about Mr. A whoes real name is Aryan Singh. Later Aryan lets her know about his next place of stealing and that is Copacabana in Brazil. Jai also gets to know about their plan and moves to Brazil alongwith Ali and meets Monali Bose (Bipasha Basu) who is the sister of Sonali. There Aryan comes to know that Sunehri is in touch with Jai and gets heartbreak. At the end Aryan dives into the valley after a small confrontation with Jai. Six months later, Aryan and Sunehri are happily running there restaurant and then comes Jai who is well aware of their story.
