Songs of Jab We Met
Imtiaz Ali directed movie ‘Jab We Met‘ was released under the banner of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision on October 26th, 2007. The movie is full of comedy and romance and the lead roles in the movie were played by Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor whereas the suppporting starcasts included Tarun Arora, Dara Singh, Pavan Malhotra, Kamal Tiwari, Kiran Juneja, Divya Shah, Saumya Tondon, Nihar Thakkar, Manushka Khisty, F.J Jussawala, Vishal Sharma, Rohini Sahni, Deepak Sharma, Sheikh Noor Islaam, Basant Sinha etc. The movie was produced by Dhilin Mehta whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Javed Ali, Faeez Anwar, Mohit Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Irshad Kamil, Ustad Rashid Khan, Ustad Sultan Khan, Shantanu Mukherjee, Sonu Nigam, Sandesh Shandilya, Sandeep Shirodkar, Mika Singh. The superhit music of the movie was given by Pritam Chakraborty and Sanjoy Chowdhury. The story of the movie was written by Imtiaz Ali and movie had did good work on the big screen.
The story of the movie is based on a young person Aditya Kashyap (Shahid kapoor) who is depressed from himself as well as the whole world even though he is a good industrialist because he came after attending a marriage party of that girl whome he loved most in the world. He feels bad and out of this world. At the Night he enters in a train without ticket and meets with Geet Dhilon (Kareena Kapoor) who is a very talkative girl. She is going back to their hometown Punjab to meet their family. Aditya Kashyap wants a silent place but he started feeling irritation because of the talkative nature of Geet. Geet Dhillon getting him bored to the large extent by telling him about their boyfriend Anshuman (Tarun Arora) and her relation with him, then Aditya Kashyap decided to leave the train. In the process of get Aditya Kashyap back to the train, she also missed the train and become helpless because there is no next train to come for Bhatinda (Punjab).
Later, in the movie she told him that she missed her train only because of him and now this is his responsibility to take her to their house safely. Now, they started their journey and reached Punjab by using buses, taxis and camel carts. Aditya meets with geet’s family and started to live with them. Geet’s family thinks mistakenly that they are lovers and when the reality comes to them, its too late because Geet escapes from their house to meet her boyfriend Anshuman and Aditya Kashyap helps her
to reached there and falls in love with her in the journey but without telling anything he leaved her by giving some suggestion on life. Now, Geets family comes to Aditya Kashyap and ask for Geet and surprised Aditya Kashyap by telling that She has not returned home then he tells her family that he will bring her home in ten days. Aditya Kashyap finally tracks her down in a Himalayan town and takes her to their family and get married with her.
