Songs of Joru Ka Ghulam


Shakeel Noorani directed movie ‘Joru Ka Ghulam‘ was released under the banner of Noorani Film Coorporation on June 16th, 2000. The movie is full of comedy and action and the lead roles in the movie were played by Govinda, Twinkle Khanna and Kader Khan whereas the supporting roles were played by Ashok Saraf, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ali Asghar, Johnny Lever, Razak Khan, Sonu Sagar, Rushika Reikhi, Rajshree Solanki, Ghanshyam Rohera, Rakhi Sawant etc. The movie was produced by Shadab Noorani and Shakeel Noorani whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Abhijeet, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rajesh Mishra, Jaspinder Narula, Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, Hema Sardesai etc. The superhit music of the movie was given by famous Aadesh Shrivastava and the story and acreenplay of the movie were written by Ikram Akhtar. Movie was proved to be successful at the box office and earned a good collection.

The movie is about four sisters and their father who is always worry for their marriage. In the begining of the movie, Dyaneshwarprasad Pitamber (Kader Khan) lives a wealthy lifestyle. He has four daughters and Durga (Twinkle Khanna) is the eldest among all sisters. All of them are uncontrolable by their father. Pitamber named his daughters after four Goddesses: Lakhsmi, Saraswati, Parvati, and Durga but their deeds are not like them. Whenever Pitamber tries to arrange the marriage of any daughter, they refuses to do marriage. Then one day he arranges a groom named Raju Patel (Ali Asghar) who lives in America and comes to see his daughters to marry one of them. Unfortunately, he gets in the trap of Raja (Govinda) and his assistant Kanhaiya (Johny Lever). Both of them are conmen who later take Raju’s ID, luggage and clothes and he is left in barely basic clothing at the airport.

Everyone thinks that Raju is a begger. There Raja goes to Pitamber’s house where he is welcome by Pitamber and he also agrees to all conditions set up by Pitamber and his daughters in order to get married and inherit part of the vaste wealth and fortune. Then he asks Raja to arrange three more grooms for their rest of three daughters otherwise no marriage will take place. Then one day when he goes in a bar with Durga, there he saves her from some goons which attracts Durga towards him. Here Kanhaiya also falls in love with one of the daughters of Pitamber. After that Raja and Kanhaiya try their hard to arrange rest of the grooms so that the marriage can take place. At the end, Raja himself commits that he is not Raju and reveals his real identity. But to his shock, Pitamber tells him that he already knows tha reality but also knows that only Raja can make his dream come true.
