Puneet Sira directed movie ‘Kisaan‘ was released under the banner of Sohail Khan Production on August 28th, 2009. The movie is full of action and family drama and the lead roles in the movie were played by Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Dalip Tahil whereas the supporting roles in the movie were played by Nauheed Cyrusi, Jackie Shroff, Diya Mirza, Sarfaraz Khan and many more who played equally important roles. The movie was produced by Sohail Khan and Ronnie Screwvala whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by some famous names of the industry, Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal, Roop Kumar Rathod, Harshdeep Kaur, Shakti Singh, Daboo Malik etc. The music of the movie was given by Daboo Malik whereas the screenplay of the movie was given by Sohail Khan and Vekeana Dhillon. The movie did not do the expected business at the box office.

The movie is based on saga of a powerful father and his two sons. In the begining of the movie, a farmer named Dayal Singh (Jackie Shroff) who is living a wealthy lifestyle in a village of Punjab. He has two sons named Aman (Arbaaz Khan) and Jigar (Sohail Khan) whome he has grown up and installs the same values in them. Aman gets his schooling while Jigar does not due to lack of funds. Dayal is a widower and his sons are the only support of his life. He has his ancestral lands in the village on which he alongwith his sons, grows different crops from several years. But the two brothers are not of the same thinking as Aman now has become a city based lawyer while Jigar has opted for farming in his feilds. Everything was going well until a businessman named Sohan Seth (Dilip Tahil) enters in their life. Now the story takes up an interesting turn.

Sohan Seth is a shrewed businessman who wants the land of the whole village for his benifit, without thinking of their benifits. Later he offers the villagers much more amount from the actually worth to sell their lands to him and unfortunately all of them also get agree. But Dayal Singh is not ready to sell his land to him. This proved to be a great shock to Sohan who tries everything to lure him but in vain. Later the family is ready for a battle with him. But to their shock, Aman also stands up against his father who has been provoked by Sohan earlier. He demands for his piece of land from his father. What he does not know that Sohan is actually using him against Dayal who wants to teach him a lesson.
