Songs of Maine Pyar Kiya


A very famous film director, Sooraj R. Barjatya directed movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya‘ was released under the banner of Rajshri Productions. The movie is full of romance and family drama and the lead roles in the movie were played by Salman Khan, Bhagyashree and Alok Nath whereas the supporting roles were played by Rajeev Verma, Reema Lagoo, Ajit Vachani, Harish Patel, Deep Dhillon, Huma Khan, Pervin Dastur, Rakesh Shrivastav, Dilip Joshi, Raju Srivastava etc. The movie was produced by Tarachand Barjatya and Rajkumar Barjatya whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Lata Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar, Shailendra Singh, Shraddha Sinha and Balasubramaniam S.P. The music of the movie was given by famous Vijay Patil and the story was given by S.M. Ahale. The screenplay and dialogues were given by Sooraj R. Barjatya. The movie was a superhit of the year.

The movie is based on two lovers who are seperated away from each other due to their family distances. In the begining of the movie, Karan (Alok Nath) is a honest and hard working man who lives a middle class lifestyle with his only daughter named Suman (Bhagyashree). He lives in a small house yet his heart is too big and he is kind to others. He has a good friend named Kishen Kumar Choudhury (Rajiv Verma) who is a wealthy businessman. He lives with his wife, Mrs. Kaushalya (Reema Lagoo) and has a son named Prem (Salman Khan). Later Karan, after seeing the financial condition of himself, he decides to travel overseas in Dubai, in the Persian Gulf. His main aim is to accumulate some wealth as it will be soon used in the marriage of his daughter. Now the problem is Suman’s stay as after leaving Karan, she will be alone. Therefore he decides to leave his daughter with his friend’s family.

Soon Karan goes to Dubai and here Suman starts living with Kishen’s family. There she meets Prem who has fallen in love with her. He woos her until she also falls in love with him. Here Kishen wants Prem to marry Seema (Pervin Dastur) who is the only daughter of his business partner, Ranjeet (Ajit Vachani). When Kaushalya comes to know about their affair, she accepts Suman as her daughter-in-law. But unfortunately Kishen does not approves of Suman and also he orders her to get out of his house and life. He feels that Suman has taken advantage of his hospitality. At that time Karan returns from Dubai and witnesses all this. He gets enraged with Kishan’s behaviour. Also Prem is unhappy with his father’s decision and decides to leave the house. But Karan does not approve of Prem and not let him come near to Suman. Therefore he decides to prove himself that he is not like his father and is worthy of Suman’s love.
