Rajkumar Hirani directed movie ‘Munnabhai M.B.B.S.‘ was released under the banner of Vinod Chopra Productions on December 19th, 2003. The movie is full of action, crime and comedy and the lead roles in the movie were played by Sanjay Dutt, Gracy Singh, Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani whereas the supporting roles were played by Sunil Dutt, Rohini Hattangadi, Kurush Deboo, Jimmy Shergill, Yatin Karyekar, Suresh Chatwal, Neha Dubey, Mumait Khan, Rohitash Gaud etc. The movie was produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Vir Chopra whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Shreya Ghoshal, Shantanu Mukherjee, Anu Malik, Priya Mayekar, Sunidhi Chauhan and Vinod Rathod. The superhit music of the movie was given by famous Anu Malik whereas the story of the movie was written by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani and Lajan Joseph. Dialogues were given by Abbas Tyrewala. The movie was a superhit comedy.

Movie is based on a guy who is involved in crime and has a change of mind to become a doctor after the insult of his parents. In the begining of the movie, a man is jogging in the morning when he notices someone is following him. He gets frightened and soon catches a taxi which is driven by Murli Prasad Sharma (Sanjay Dutt) aka Munna Bhai, who later leaves him on half the way and runs away. The person also follows him and they both get ina house where he comes to know that he is trapped by some goons. Later Munna gets a telegram informing him that his parents are coming to see him on the same day of telegram. He quickly instructs his colleagues and soon the whole place turns into a hospital and Munna becomes the head of that place. Later his partner named Circuit (Arshad Warsi) goes to receive Munna’s parents. Munna actually cons his parents that he is a doctor in the city rather a small gangster. Soon they come and take a tour to the hospital.

His parents see him working and decide that he should be now a settled person. For this his father, Hari Prasad Sharma (Sunil Dutt) also has chosen a girl named Suman Asthana (Gracy Singh) but Munna refuses to get marry. Hari gets angry with him and later Munna has to give up. They all goes to see Suman but there Suman’s father, Dr. J. C. Asthana (Boman Irani) insults him as well as his father telling them that Munna is actually a gangster. Hari quickly goes back to village with his wife after breaking all the relationship with his son. Then Munna gets full of revenge and decides to become a doctor. Later he enrolls himself in the same institution where Dr. Asthana is the dean and then starts the real play between them. Munna has decided to change all the rules and regulations when he meets Anand Banerjee (Yatin Karyekar) who is in a situation of living dead. At last Munna is restigated from the medical college but his impact on Anand has changed him into a normal man, which is a dilemma situation for Asthana. He later accepts Munna and also Hari Prasad accepts him.
