Songs of Saajan Chale Sasural


Famous comedy director, David Dhawan directed movie ‘Saajan Chale Sasural‘ was released under the banner of Anas Films on April 12th, 1996. The movie is full of comedy and suspence and the lead roles in the movie were played by Govinda, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu and Kader Khan whereas the supporting roles were played by Shakti Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Satish Shah, Arjun, Mukesh Rishi, Anjana Mumtaz, Himani Shivpuri, Arun Bakshi, Dinesh Hingoo etc. The movie was produced by Mansoor Ahmed Siddiqui and Ghizala Mansoor Siddiqui whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Kunal Ganjawala, Satyanarayan Mishra, Udit Narayan, Poornima, Vinod Rathod, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. The music was given by famous Nadeem Shravan and Amar Haldipur whereas the screenplay and dialogues were written by Rumi Jaffery and Kader Khan respectively. The movie was a box office success.

The movie is based on a guy who gets in problem after getting married twice. In the begining of the movie, a person named Shyamsunder (Govinda) who lives in a village alongwith his widowed mother (Anjana Mumtaz). He is fond of singing and always sings whenever he get opportunity. His mother sends him to Madhav (Arun Bakshi) who lives in another village and is the best friend of his father. Soon Shyam packs his luggage and moves to Madhav to learn the lessons of singing. Madhav also accepts him as his student and his classes of music starts. There he meets Pooja (Karisma Kapoor) and falls in love with her after he was slapped by her as he made some comments on her. This gives him the direction to the success and he starts learning his lessons thoroughly. One day he asks Madhav for his daughter to marry him which Madhav accepts happily. Soon Shyam and Pooja get engaged.

Then Shyam comes to Bombay alone to try his luck with Bollywood and wealth. There he meets with Muthu Swami (Satish Kaushik) who is also a musician and wants the same. They both decide to meet the owner of Tips Cassettes named Mr. Khurana (Kader Khan) for an audition. They attempt to meet him but are thrwn away by the guards. Then they make another plan in which Mutthu tries to rob Divya (Tabu), daughter of Khurana so that Shyam comes to rescue her and makes some place in her heart but in vain. Later they get a chance to perform in an audition and Khurana gets impressed. Divya wants to marry Shyam without knowing his truth. In pressure, he marries Divya and then goes to his village to payback his loans. He is shocked to know that Pooja is dead in the flood. Later Khurana gets a heart attack and Shyam goes to see him where he accidentally meets Pooja who is alive. Shyam and Muthu try their very best to get rid of this which results in hillarious chaos.
