Sanjay Kapoor is a famous Bollywood actor who was born on October 17th, 1962 at Mumbai. He was born to the family of Surinder Kapoor who is a film producer. He has two elder brothers named Boney Kapoor who is a very famous film producer in the industry who has produced several hit films. Also he has an elder brother named Anil Kapoor who is also a vey well known superstar of the industry who has appeared in Oscar winning movie titled ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ in 2009. He also has a sister named Reena who is married to Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Films & Video Studios and The Asian Academy of Film & Television. He married NRI from Perth (Australia) named Maheep Sandhu. He was always linked with actresses such as Tabu and Sushmita Sen with whome he starred in several movies.

Sanjay Kapoor entered in the film line in the year 1995 with the movie ‘Prem‘ in which he starred opposite very famous actress in bollywood, Tabu. His first role in the movie was Sanjay Verma whome he played finely. The movie was not a big hit but went as an average film at the box offices. Later he started to get some offers for some movies which he accepted. As a result he once again appeared in the same year with a superhit movie, Raja which was directed by Indra Kumar. His role as a poor guy who falls in love with a wealthy girl, was proved to be a turning point in his career. He starred in the movie with Madhuri Dixit. That movie made him a star overnight and later he started to get several offers. Later his career became full of several movies such as Beqabu (1996), Mohabbat (1997), Auzaar (1997), Zameer: The Awakening of a Soul (1997) and Mere Sapno Ki Rani (1997).

But his career has seen more ups and downs as several of his movies were flopped or did reasonably well at the box office in the 1990s. In the year 1999, he came up with another superhit movie titled “Sirf Tum‘. He starred in the movie opposite Priya Gill and Sushmita Sen. The romantc story of the movie proved to be a hit and once again came in the news. The song of the movie “Dilbar Dilbar” was also hit. In the year 2002, again gave a successful movie, ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe’ in which he played as an obsessive psychotic husband of Esha Deol. Next year, in 2003 he starred another hit movie titled ‘Qayamat: City Under Threat‘ alongwith Ajay Devgan, Sunil Shetty, Arbaaz Khan and Neha Dhupia. Despite of his some successful movies in the industry, he never became as popular as his brother Anil Kapoor.
