A very famous film director, Ram Gopal Varma directed superhit movie ‘Sarkar‘ was released under the banner of K Sera Sera on July 1st, 2005. The movie is full of action and crime drama and the lead roles in the movie were played by Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kay Kay Menon and Ishrat Ali whereas the supporting roles in the movie were played by Veerendra Saxena, Katrina Kaif, Rukhsar, Supriya Pathak, Tanisha, Anupam Kher, Srinivasa Rao Kota, Raju Mavani, Deepak Shirke, Nisha Kothari etc. The movie was produced by Parag Sanghavi and Ram Gopal Varma whereas the songs were rendered by Kailash Kher, Krishna, Farhad, Bapi, Tutul, Janki Parikh etc. The music of the movie was given by Amar Mohile whereas the story of the movie was written by Manish Gupta. The movie was proved to be a superhit at the box office.

The movie is based on the corruption and unequality in the society which leads to a man to stand up against this and later becomes “Sarkar”. In the begining of the movie, a rape victim’s father (Veerendra Saxena) is sitting near a guy named Subhash Nagre (Amitabh Bachchan) who is also very popular as ‘Sarkar’. He is telling what has happened to his daughter and asks him for justice which the corrupt law and order fail to give. Later the rapist is beaten up by his henchmen. Subhash has two sons named Vishnu (Kay Kay Menon) and Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan). Shankar is studying abroad whereas Vishnu is producing a movie. But he has his eyes on the film actress named Sapna (Nisha Kothari) though he is married with Amrita (Rukhsar) and also has a son. Later Shankar returns from the United States with his love Pooja (Katrina Kaif). But Pooja’s father is not interested with this relationship.

Later their love breaks and comes to an end. Shortly, a don named Rasheed (Zakir Hussain) tries to strike a deal with Sarkar but in vain as he promptly refuses on moral grounds. Also Subhash forbids him to do any crime business in his territory. Therefore Rasheed tries to eliminate Sarkar’s supremacy with the help of Silver Mani (Srinivasa Rao Kota) and Swami Virendra (Jeeva). Soon a political leader named Motilal Khurana (Anupam Kher) is killed by them to trap Sarkar in which they succeed. Vishnu believe that Sarkar is guilty but Shankar doesn’t. Later Shankar takes his father’s place temporarily and starts finding out the real culprits. In the process, he has to kill Vishnu who wanted to kill his father. Shankar also eliminates Rasheed and Silver Mani. One last man named Madan Rathore (Deepak Shirke) who is also the Chief Minister of state, has a part in the attempt to end Sarkar and his rule. Shankar results in legal action against the Chief Minister.
