Famous director, Anees Bazmee directed movie ‘Singh Is Kinng‘ was released under the banner of Blockbuster Movie Entertainers on August 8th, 2008. The movie is full of comedy, action and romance and the lead roles in the movie were played by Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Ranvir Shorey whereas the supporting roles were played by Om Puri, Kiron Kher, Javed Jaffrey, Neha Dhupia, Yashpal Sharma, Manoj Pahwa, Kamal Chopra, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sonu Sood etc. The movie was produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and the songs of the movie were rendered by Shreya Ghoshal, Labh Jajua, Hard Kaur, Daler Mehndi, Ashiesh Pandit, Mika Singh etc. The music of the movie was directed by Pritam Chakraborty whereas the dialogues of the movie were written by Rishi Virmani, Vipul Binjola and Anees Bazmee. This movie was proved to be a superhit of the year 2008.

The movie is based on criminal lifesyle and an innocent guy who takes on himself to get back his friends to their homes. In the beginning of the movie, Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar) who is always compassionate and helpful, is trying to catch a hen for his friend (Khayali). But whenever he tries to help somebody, he always ends up causing more damage. The village panchayat is called to take some action against him and his father who is also a ‘Panch’ in panchayat decides to fulfill the damage. Then all the villagers decide to get rid of him and suddenly they get the news of Lakhanpal Singh aka Lucky, who now has became an underworld don. Then Happy is chosen for this task. Panchayat also send Happy’s friend named Rangeela (Om Puri) who is reluctant but has to go now. Soon they get their passport and visa and leave for Australia, but unfortunately they collide with another guy and end up in Egypt.

There he moves out and meets a beautiful and gorgeous young woman named Sonia (Katrina Kaif) who is chasing a snatcher and later beats him up. Her thinking is to have criminals killed than reform them. Then he moves to Australia where he goes to Lucky and asks him to get return to his village, but he is send back by him. Both befriend a boutique owner and live in her house. Soon Lucky is attacked by some goons and Happy rescues him but Lucky gets paralyzed. His goons misunderstands Lucky’s want and make Happy their new Don who later asks the boutique owner named Rose (Kiron Kher) to live with him. One day he comes to know that Rose’s daughter is coming back to her alongwith her boyfriend named Puneet (Ranvir Shorey) and he distributed different works to the goons. He is shocked to see Sonia as Rose’s daughter. A series of comedy errors happen and then Sonia gets to know that Happy is actually a Don.
