Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla and Mastan Alibhai Burmawalla directed movie ‘Soldier‘ was released on October 12th, 1998. The movie is full of action, thriller and mystery drama and the lead roles in the movie were played by Bobby Deol, Preity Zinta, Dalip Tahil and Rakhee Gulzar whereas the supporting roles in the movie were played by Suresh Oberoi, Farida Jalal, Johnny Lever, Sharat Saxena, Ashish Vidyarthi, Salim Ghouse, Pankaj Dheer, Trilok Kapoor, Vivek Vaswani etc. The movie was produced by Kumar S. Taurani and Ramesh Sadhuram Taurani whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Jaspinder Narula, Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, Hema Sardesai and Alka Yagnik. The superhit music of the movie was given by famous Anu Malik and Surendra Singh Sodhi and the story and screenplay of the movie were written by Shyam Goel. The movie was a blockbuster hit at the box office.

The movie is based on the revenge of a guy who has decided to kill a criminal as a revenge of his father’s death. In the begining of the movie, four guys named Pratap Singh (Suresh Oberoi), Virender Sinha (Dalip Tahil), Baldev Sinha (Sharat Saxena) and Jaswant Dalal (Salim Ghouse) are partners in the world of crime. They have decided to steel arms and ammunitions from the Indian army and supply it to another person called DK. But their robbery is caught red-handed by Captain Vijay Malhotra (Pankaj Dheer) who is an honest person. He threatens them to expose them to the world but unfortunately, before he could do anything he is shot by DK and pronounced dead. Not only this, they all carry ahead with there deadly mission and also blamed Vijay for all the arms theft. As a result he does not get the funeral which an Army Personnel wants and his dead body is stripped of all medals and commendations.

Then his dead body is left for cremation by his wife named Geeta (Rakhee Gulzar) and a young son named Raju. But the villagers, who are present there, refuses to let a traitor be cremated on there land. As a result his dead body is left alone to be eaten by vultures. But this is not it as they ut the stigma of shame on his wife’s forehead and leaves her to live in depression. Several years later Raju comes back with a revenge and has changed his name to Vicky (Bobby Deol). Then he moves to Sydney, Australia where his targets are located. He also falls in love with a cute and beautiful girl named Preeti Singh (Preity Zinta) who is none other than the daughter of his prime target, Virender Sinha. Now one by one, all start getting killed and nobody understands the reason behind these killings.
