Bollywood sweetest singer Sunidhi Chauhan was born in Delhi on 14th august 1983. She has a younger sister named Suneha. She finished her Schooling from Greenway Public School, Dilshad Garden, Delhi. Till now she has rendered her voice for more than 2000 songs. She started her singing career in a temple in delhi at the age of four. She also participated in various Singing competetions. Her singing career in bollywood started when she was noticed by a TV anchor, Tabassum. She then shifted to Mumbai with her family. She got her first singing break in Little Wonders’ Troupe, a Kalyanji’s Production. In 1996 she won the first prize in a tv serial Meri Awaz Suno on National Television Channel, Doordarshan. That was the first singing contest in India in which a winner got the chance of recording a album. She rendered the songs for the album Aira Ghaira Nathu Khaira under the production of HMV. Though it was not a big hit at all. She then get determined to make singing as her career.

Sunidhi then got a chance as a playback singer in a movie Shastra. It was released in 1996. After that she rendered songs in many movies including Gang, Bade Dilwala, Samar, Raja Ki Aayegi Baarat etc. Till the age of 19 she made the excellent record of rendering 350 songs. She actually shot to fame after rendering the song Ruki Ruki Si Jindagi from the movie Mast. It was directed by Ram Gopal Varma. She also sang two more songs from the movie. But she was admired a lot for Ruki Ruki. Then after she reached on the top of her singing career. In 2006 she rendered her voice in the song Ye mera dil from the movie Don. But she was criticised for not singing the songs as good as it was sung by Asha Bhonsle in 1978. Himesh Reshammiya rated Sunidhi 9 out of 10 in the hit TV serial Koffee with Karan for the song.

Sunidhi is the only singer in Bollywood who can sing the song of every styles including Pop, Rock, Folk and Classical with an ease. In the opening ceremony of 2006 Asian Games at Doha in Quatar she rendered the song Reach Out. In 2007, Microsoft hired her at the launch of Windows Vista in India for singing the song Wow Is Now. The songs was in both languages Hindi and English and its lyrics explained the features of Vista. Her performance in 2008 was very good and she gave a lot of superhit songs including Chhaliya from Tashan, Lucky Boy from Bachna Ae Haseeno, Desi Girl from Dostana, Dance pe chance mar le from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Race sanso ki from race and many more. She also won the Kelvinator Great! FLO Women Award 2009 for her good perfromances in 2008. She has worked with almost all bollywood singers, lyrics writers and composers. She has been paired with the leading singer like Shaan and Sukhwinder Singh more often for playback singing.
