Famous bollywood director David Dhawan directed movie ‘Swarg‘ was released under the banner of Paras Films International on May 2nd, 1990. This is a family drama movie and the lead roles in the movie were played by Govinda, Juhi Chawla, Rajesh Khanna and Madhavi whereas supporting roles were played by Satish Kaushik, Paresh Rawal, Dilip Dhawan, Raja Bundela, Neena Gupta, Mahesh Anand, Vikas Anand, Master Bhagwan, Arun Bakshi, Yunus Parvez, Shehnaz Kudia etc. The movie was produced by Nandu G. Tolani whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by some famous names such as Mohammed Aziz, Anupama Deshpande, Amit Kumar, Nitin Mukesh and Anuradha Paudwal. The music of the movie was given by famous duo Anand-Milind and the story of the movie was written by Anees Bazmee and Nandu G. Tolani. This movie was the highest grossing of the year and became hit at the box office.

This movie was based on a servant named Krishna (Govinda) and his loyalty towards his boss named Mr. Kumar (Rajesh Khanna). Mr. Kumar has picked him up from street where Krishna was roaming around in pain of his hunger. He takes him home and takes care of him and in return Krishna calls him Sahabji. Mr. Kumar lives in a posh mansion named Swarg where alongwith him, his wife (Madhavi), two step-brothers named Ravi (Dilip Dhawan) and Vicky (Raja Bundela) and his sister named Jyoti (Juhi Chawla) live. He has no children, therefore he loves Krishna very much. The whole family is a very happy family until Mr. Kumar has a clash of wits with Dhanraj (Paresh Rawal) who is his rival in business. Later Dhanraj plays his trick and successfully schemes with Kumar’s both brothers to get him penniless. His idea works and Kumar is not able to pay his debts. His prestigious mansion ‘Swarg’ also take over by Dhanraj.

Seeing this, Krishna ask for help from Ravi and Vicky but instead of helping, they slap and also abuse him. Kumar feels very bad for Krishna as he always love him as his own son. Later he decides to throw out Krishna for his good fortune. His life gets ruined when his wife passes away and now he becomes alone and helpless. Here Krishna goes to Bombay and there he meets Chaddha (Satish Kaushik) who shelters him. Later he finds a work at a studio where one day he is asked to say the dialogues which the hero of the film was not able to speak. He delivers the dialogues and soon becomes superstar of the industry. Now he decides to teach a lesson to Dhanraj and both Ravi and Vicky. He gives a huge order to both brothers but refuses to take it which causes massive loss to both of them. Then he fires the factory of Dhanraj resulting in a huge loss to him. Later he goes to Sahabji and brings him home ‘Swarg’. Krishna and Jyoti’s engagement is fixed but at last Kumar dies of heart attack.
