Satish Kaushik directed movie ‘Tere Naam‘ was released under the banner of MD Productions on August 15th, 2003. The movie is full of action and romance and the lead roles in the movie were played by Salman Khan and Bhoomika Chawla whereas the supporting roles were played by Mahima Chaudhry, Sachin Khedekar, Savita Prabhune, Anang Desai, Ravi Kishan, Saurabh Dubey, Sarfaraz Khan, Radhika Chaudhari, Mahendra Verma, Dinesh Kaushik, Indu Verma, Ghanshyam Naik etc. The movie was produced by Mukesh Talreja and Sunil Manchanda whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Kay Kay, Kamaal Khan, Shantanu Mukherjee, Udit Narayan, Sukhwinder Singh and Alka Yagnik. The music of the movie was given by famous Himesh Reshammiya and the dialogues were given by Jainendra Jain. The movie was a blockbuster hit at the box office.

The movie is based on romance, in which a guy tries everything to get his love but unfortunately becomes insane at last. In the begining of the movie, a guy named Radhe Mohan (Salmaan Khan) hangs out in the same college campus from where he has completed his graduation. He has a problem that he is short tempered and gets always into trouble. Also he has some of his friends with him who stays around him to handle any aukward situation. Radhe lives with his brother (Sachin Khedekar) and his sister-in-law (Savita Prabhune). Being a short tempered person, he has also a soft corner in his heart for poor and needy people. Later one day he is sitting in the campus and then comes across a girl named Nirjala (Bhoomika Chawla) who is a fresher. After some light ragging, he falls in love with her. What he does not knows that she is from a higher caste than him and also is already engaged with Rameshwar (Ravi Kishan).

Here Radhe is always present near her to assist her in the college. Also he helps her in couple of issues in college. Despite this, she calls him a goon and afraid of him. Later one day Radhe proposes her but she refuses. Eventually one day he helps a woman to escape from a brothel. The woman is none other than Nirjala’s elder sister who has been left in the brothel by her husband. Rameshwar witnesses this and on asking, he tells Nirjala the truth. After that she also starts feeling love for Radhe. But unfortunately, the owner of that brothel turned on for Radhe and in the fight, Radhe gets severe injuries to his head. He becomes insane and is send to to an ashram for treatment. Here Nirjala is asked to forget Radhe and to marry Rameshwar. At the end of the story, Radhe comes back but is shocked to see Nirjala dead on the marriage day.
