Khalid Mohamed directed movie ‘Fiza‘ was released under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures on September 8th, 2000. The movie is full of romance and thriller and the lead roles in the movie were played by Karisma Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Neha and Bikram Saluja whereas the supporting roles were played by Jaya Bhaduri, Asha Sachdev, Dinesh Thakur, Isha Koppikar, Anup Soni, Shivaji Satham, Johnny Lever, Manoj Bajpai, Sushmita Sen etc. The movie was produced by Pradeep Guha, Ronnie Screwvala and Zarina Mehta whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Shaukat Ali, Asha Bhosle, Sunidhi Chauhan, Udit Narayan, Jaspinder Narula, A.R. Rahman, Alka Yagnik, Zubin and many more. The music was given by Ranjit Barot while story and screenplay was given by Khalid Mohamed. Dialogues were written by Javed Siddiqui and the movie got average response at the box office.

The movie is based on a guy who becomes a terrorist after gets missing from his family and later his sister insists him to get on the right path. In the begining of the movie, Amaan (Hrithik Roshan) is very happily lives with his mother, Nishatbi (Jaya Bachchan) and a sister named Fiza (Karisma Kapoor). But unfortunately, he gets disappear during the 1993 Mumbai riots and her mother and sister live on to the hope that one day he will return. Eventually, six years have been gone and he still does not comes. Therefore Fiza decides to go in search of him after getting fed up with living with uncertainty. She is determined to use every possible means of finding him and therefore she goes to the law, media and even politicians. There she meets various kinds of persons and situations. Later she gets able to find him but is shocked to se him in worse situation.

Amaan has joined a terorrist group which is led by Murad Khan (Manoj Bajpai) and has no way to return. But Fiza forces him to come home, and he finally re-unites with their mother. However his allegiance and thoughts make him want to return to the terrorist network. Later Fiza gets in a confrontation with two men who harasses her and this time Aman revealing his involvement with the terrorist network in front of his sister, mother and the police. Nishatbi is stunned listening this and this results in commiting suicide. Now Fiza is once again on the search of his brother and this time she is accompanied by Aniruddh (Bikram Saluja). Here Amaan is send to kill two powerful politicians i which he succeeds. But to his shock, his own group tries to kill him. He manages to escape and Fiza is also after him. Later Amaan asks Fiza to kill him and after much persuasion she kills Amaan.
