Actor turned into director, Sajid Khan directed movie ‘Heyy Babyy‘ was released under the banner of Eros International on August 24th, 2007. The movie is full of comedy and family drama and the lead roles in the movie were played by Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh whereas the supporting starcast included Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Juanna Sanghvi, Shahrukh Khan, Kristy Best, Aarti Chhabria, Anupam Sharma, Sherin, Chirag Vohra etc. The movie was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Anupam Sharma whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Shreya Ghoshal, Rehan Khan, Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa, Shantanu Mukherjee, Sonu Nigam, Parvez Qadir, Neeraj Shridhar etc. The superhit music of the movie was given by famous trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the screenplay and dialogues were written by Milap Zaveri. The movie was proved to be a box office hit.

The movie is based on three guys and a baby girl and how their life changes when this girl enters into their life. Movie begins in beautiful city of Sydney in Australia where Arush Mehra (Akshay Kumar) lives a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his two other room-mates named Tanmay Joglekar (Ritesh Deshmukh) and Ali Hyder (Fardeen Khan). Arush works for a food chain as a manager, Tanmay becomes ‘Eddy Teddy’ in various parties and carnivals and entertains children while Ali keeps himself in the house to look after the apartment. But one thing is common in all three guys, they all are womanizers and usually end up sleeping with around thirty different women every year. Then one day everything changes when they found a baby girl at their door step alongwith a letter in which it is written to take care of the child. One of those is the biolgical father of the child. Then they decide to take care of her and name her ‘Angel’.

But soon they get fed up with her as they are not able to free themselves from her and one day decide to leave her outside on the road and they do so. Then they go for a drink but think about her and later come back to the same place and get shocked as it is raining and Angel is still out there. She gets wet and sick and therefore they rush to the hospital where a treatment is given to her. This raises love for her in their heart and now they decide to keep Angel with them forever. Later the real mother, Isha Sahni (Vidya Balan) of Angel comes and takes her away from them. Arush is shocked to see Isha in his house and remembers that last summer, he traveled to Delhi to attend Arjun’s (Chirag Vohra) wedding where he first meets Isha and soon both get intimate. Later he was caught sleeping with Devika red handed by her and they broke up. Arush does everything to win back Isha but in vain.
