Soni Razdan directed movie ‘Nazar‘ was released under the banner of Vishesh Films on May 20th, 2005. The movie is full of thriller, murder, sexuality and controversial and the lead roles in the movie were played by Meera, Ashmit Patel, Koel Purie, and Neena Gupta whereas the supporting starcasts were included Rupak Mann, Alyy Khan, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Avtar Gill, Bobby Darling, Padma Rani, Sarita Joshi and Sujata Sehgal. The movie was produced by Sevy Ali and Mukesh Bhatt whereas the songs of the movie was rendered by Shubha Mudgal, K.K, Shreya Ghoshal and Sunidhi Chauhan. The music of the movie was given by famous Anu Malik. The story of the movie was written by famous Mahesh Bhatt and the screenplay of the movie was given by Anand Sivakumaran. The movie had a big flop on the big screen.

The story of the movie is based on a serial killer who kills womens of lose moral, bar girls and prostitutes after rape. Movie begins with a talented pop star named Divya (Meera). She once driving back to her home and she finds a dead body on her way. And from there her life takes a complete turnaround. Now she started to prejudgement of the murder which is going to happen in two or three days. On the other hand murders going to happen at regular basis then Police would like to assign inspector Shirke for the mission. But, Sujata Deshmukh (Koel Purie) insists that she can handle the operation with the help of the senior inspector named, Rohan Shethi (Ashmit Patel). She means there is no need to include inspector Shirke here. The whole case is given to inspector Rohan Sethi and sub inspector Sujata Deshmukh and soon they start their work.

Later in the movie, Divya claims that she has vision of women getting killed in few days but nobody believes on her. Shortly murder will happen at the same place and in the same manner as Divya said. Now, they start to think about Divya seriously. Again a murder takes place at the Samurai Club and they find a person over there named Jagdish (Vishwajeet Pradhan) who is Divya’s alcohlic paternal uncle. Divya tried to protect her uncle but gets fail and police arrested him and send him to the jail. Now, everybody get amazed when Divya tells them about the visions of her own murder. And this leaves a big question in everyone’s mind that who is the real killer behind all. After, some beautiful plans they find that the killer is none other than the senior inspector Rohan Sethi.
