One of the most famous and finest bollywood actor Paresh Rawal was born on May 30th, 1950 at Ahmedabad, Gujrat. He has played supporting and villain roles in his starting career and later comes in limelight. He was born to a Gujrati family which resided in Paliad, Gujrat. He is married to Swaroop Sampat who is the winner of the ‘Miss India‘ contest in 1979. He has two sons named Aditya and Aniruddh. He has attended Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and Higher Studies in Vile Parle, Mumbai and later moved there. He was only twenty two years of age at that time. He went there to become a civil engineer but people recognized him as a great actor due to his acting ability and later he was recommended to be in bollywood. That has changed his life forever and today he is known as a great actor and comedian. Paresh Rawal had a bit of struggle in the industry in his earlier days.

The year 1984 brought him a chance to show his talent in the industry. He entered in the field of acting with the movie ‘Holi‘. Later he acted in several hit and avereage movies such as Arjun (1985), Bhagwan Dada (1986), Mirch Masala (1987), Ram Lakhan (1989), Krodh (1990) etc. In 1980s and 1990s, he appeared in over hundred films. But he was shot to fame with the superhit movie ‘Hera Pheri‘ in 2000. He framed the character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte where Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty were also starred alongwith him. It was 1991, when he achieved recognition and adulation for his role of a bank robber in Kshana Kshanam. He got famous for his quirky accent and mannerisms. Apart from bollywood, he also acted in quite a few Tollywood films like Money and Govinda Govinda. Not only this in 1994 he won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performances in the films Woh Chokri and Sir.

He also won his first Filmfare Award for Best Comedian for the movie Woh Ladki. He appeared in 1993 movie ‘Sardar’ which got him national and international acclaim. He played the role of freedom fighter Vallabhbhai Patel in the movie. Later he switched to comedy roles where he became more popular. During the decade 2000s, he starred in many hit and comedy movies such as Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), Garam Masala (2005), Deewane Huye Pagal (2005), Malamaal Weekly (2006), Golmaal (2006), Chup Chup Ke (2006) and Bhagam Bhag (2006). He got Filmfare Best Comedian Award for Hera Pheri in 2001 and Awara Paagal Deewana in 2003. His sequal of Hera Pheri titled Phir Hera Pheri also became superhit which earned him stars to his acting.
